BIO

Michele Eichelberg was born in Eugene, OR on Thanksgiving Day 1948. She traveled with her parents for many heavy construction projects until age 8 when her father was promoted to the head office in South San Francisco.

Her family lived in the family home in San Mateo, CA from 1956-2012. Michele lived at home until 1968.

Michele graduated from Pitzer College and Claremont Graduate University by 1973. After graduate school she taught in So Cal, Northern California, London, England, and Sonoma County, CA until retiring in 2010.

Michele and Bill Eichelberg, her husband of 35+ years, moved to the Del Webb community in Cary, NC. In retirement, she started painting again.

Acrylics have always been her medium. She is largely self taught. In Cary, Michele worked with Marcelle Hooks. Since moving to Wake Forest in 2019, she has worked with Mary Benejam.

Michele has one son with her first husband. Alex lives in Atlanta and is a trained actor and entrepreneur.

Bill and Michele share their home with Abby, their FIFTH miniature schnauzer.

Bill and Michele live in the Del Webb Traditions community.
